I was hoping to get the entire cover painted tonight
...but I see that was optimistic.

OTOH, those are some damn fine sheets and blanket.

I'm going to be leaving the linework on Rivas and Jordan, to pop them out from the softly shaded blankets, although I'll blend the lines a bit to make them less harsh.

That bottom thing, with the brushes... I wonder if that's in Painter X. How did you get that? :oa

It6 should be in it - I'm using Painter IX. :D that's the Custom Palette and you make one by clicking on a brush icon in the drop-down menu and dragging it to the Painter desktop. It creates the palette. Then you just drag any more brushes you want over to the new custom palette.

The catch is that I haven't the slightest idea how to get rid of brushes. :D The blender on the left? Is one I screwed up on and dragged the wrong blender to the palette. Since I can't figure out how to get rid of it, I just left it. If I looked up custom palettes in the help section, I'd probably figure it out, but that's too much effort. XD

I love the texture of the bedding. It looks very touchable. I also really just dig the composition, heads close together, eyes on each other, and the hands. Jordan is framed by Rivas' head on one side, and Rivas' hand on the other, curling toward him. Jordan keeps more distance, pointing the way toward Rivas' hand almost at the edge of the piece, but that distance is as much a gesture of affection as Rivas' closeness. If either of them moves, they'll touch, Rivas curling his fingers into Jordan's hair, Jordan leaning into it
