We spent most of the afternoon in the Tokyuu Hands, a giant crafts, DIY, and stuff store. We found several banks of gachapon machines. Toby, of course, zeroed in on the Pacific Rim one. We had to go get change, and then I stayed and guarded our loot while he fought his way back to the gachapon machines.
When we got back to the hotel, Toby revealed that he’d gotten me a Silver Spoon one as well. Silver Spoon is a manga and anime by the same person who did Fullmetal Alchemist, but it’s a modern-day story set at an agricultural high school dealing with students struggling with a declining economy and stuff that ought to be boring, but which is fascinating, educational, and funny.
And I’ll spare you long photos of tediously unwrapping it and get to the point.
I’ll let Toby post his Pacific Rim gachapon. You can comment here or at the Dreamwidth crosspost. comments at Dreamwidth.
